As many as 70 people were saved, in the last 24 hours, by rescuers, 24 of them being transported to the hospital, Salvamont Romania announced on Monday.
In the last 24 hours, the National Dispatch received 57 calls requesting the emergency intervention of rescuers, according to a post on Salvamont’s Facebook page. The most calls – nine – were received by Salvamont Brasov, followed by Salvamont Predeal, with six requests.
„In the case of these interventions, 70 people were saved. Of these, 24 were handed over to the ambulance service or Mobile Emergency, Resuscitation and Extrication Service (SMURD) for transport to the hospital. We also received 28 calls requesting advice and information about different tourist routes in the area mountain and about the ski area,” Salvamont mentions.
